DAVAO CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 15, 2008) – A Filipino father is facing criminal charges after he allegedly mauled to death his own son who was implicated in a series of robberies in the southern Philippines, police said.
Police said it would file parricide charges against the 48-year old Virgilio Relatado, who was accused of mauling Jaliver Relatado in a fit of rage after the son was linked to the robberies in Davao City.
The incident occurred over the weekend inside their house after in the village of Baguio after authorities summoned the Relatado’s son to shed light on the accusations. (Romy Bwaga)
