Japan Hands Over 25 Million Yen To Leyte Slide Victims



(Zamboanga Journal / 24 Feb) Japan handed over some 25 million yen to the Filipino government to help victims of the deadly landslide in Leyte province, where more than 1,800 people were buried alive.
Tokyo also sent two natural disaster management experts to Leyte to study and weigh the risk of secondary disaster in restoration and victim-support activities.
