ZAMBOANGA CITY (Zamboanga Journal / 05 May) The ELearning Centre Inc., the pioneer and only local academy in Western Mindanao, which is authorized to deliver Cisco Networking Academy Program, has entered into memorandum of agreement with the Computer Science Department of the state-run Western Mindanao State University (WMSU).
Engr. Cielito Conti-Olegario, head of the WMSU Computer Science Department, said a partnership with Cisco-ELearning would gear their students to be more competent in the global market.
Olegario signed up with the Cisco-ELearning because it is the only academy in the region that gives out international certification. She said WMSU Computer Science Department will send graduating CS and CoE students to take up Fundamentals of Java Programming-Sun Microsystems sponsored curriculum and Cisco Certified Network Associate Module 1-Networking Basics.
Zulfikar Sabdulla, academy coordinator and Fhae Biottong, its marketing executive, were the prime movers of the ELearning Center Inc., who constantly ensure quality education and training to its clients.
Cisco is committed to working with educational institutions around the world to ensure that today’s students master the necessary skills for success in the Internet Economy. Increasingly, all business will rely on a highly trained, technology-literate workforce in order to thrive in the coming years.
Towards that end, the Cisco comprehensive e-learning systems, known as the Cisco Networking Academy Program, fosters student development and exposure to information technology through its networking curriculum. Cisco-Elearning wants to continue the legacy of the founder in bridging the digital divide.
