General Santos City Shaken By Tremor

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 10) - A temblor struck near the southern Philippine port city of General Santos, but authorities said Friday there were no damage to structure or casualties.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake, measuring 5 in the Richter Scale occurred 105 miles (168 km) east-southeast of General Santos City on Thursday at around 15:43:54 (UTC).

It was also felt in Davao and Cotabato, it said. It was the second tremor to hit near General Santos. An 5.4 earthquake also was also reported on Nov. 4 about 105 km south-southeast of General Santos City. (Mindanao Examiner)
