Police Story

DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 02 Mar) – A teenager working on a car wash shop was stabbed dead by unidentified assailant in attack in downtown Davao City in the southern Philippines.

Police said Roel Rosel, 17, was killed at a parking area just outside the Victoria Plaza Mall late Thursday. He was stabbed eight times. The suspect escaped, police said.

A teener was also injured after his girlfriend’s 12-year old brother stabbed him in the back Thursday night in Davao City.

Police said the 16-year old victim was rushed to hospital after the attack. His assailant also escaped.

The father’s victim said the assailant attacked while his son and girlfriend were talking in front of their house. It was unknown what triggered the suspect to attack his sister’s boyfriend. (Romy Bwaga)



DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 02 Mar) – Police here warned the public Friday on the proliferation of counterfeit P1,000-peso bill after it received numerous complaints from local store owners.

Superintendent Leonardo Felonia, commander of the Sta. Ana police station, said one victim was duped by two teenagers who paid her P1,000 for groceries. (Romy Bwaga)
