Bull Attacks Master In Philippines

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 10 Jun) – A farmer from the southern Philippines has been gored and seriously injured by his own bull and the family was forced to sell the animal to pay for the man’s hospital bill.

Police said Arsenio Yuson was resting under the shade of a tree when the animal suddenly attacked him in the village of Silway in South Cotabato’s Polomolok town over the weekend.

Police said the man’s family sold the animal for P15, 000 ($326) to pay for the bills and medicines. The bull was the family’s only farming animal.

Many farmers in the Philippines still use bulls and horses to toil rice fields. (Romy Bwaga)

If the bulls can pay the hospital bills, how about raising bulls for a living.
