DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 15 Jun) – The Philippine military on Friday raised its alert following two bombings in the southern region of Mindanao that killed at least 9 people.
Army Colonel Alan Luga, commander of the anti-terror group “Task Force Davao,” said female soldiers would be deployed in bus depots here to help police authorities inspect passengers, particularly women.
“We will be fielding women personnel to do body search,” Luga said. (With a report from Juley Reyes)
