DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 06 Jul) – At least two dozen students were rushed Friday to hospital after eating staled biscuits in the southern Philippines, police and health workers said.
Most of the victims were vomiting and suffering from stomach pain and are recuperating at the Davao Medical Center. Police said the students were from Pichon Elementary School in Tibungco village here.
They said they bought the biscuits from the school canteen. Witnesses said some of the victims had passed out.
Health authorities have launched an investigation into the food poisoning. (Romy Bwaga)
