ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 18, 2007) - The E-Learning Center in Zamboanga City would hold a free one-day seminar to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) - ARMM’s directors and staff.
Dubbed as “Introducing Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) to TESDA-ARMM,” the event, which will be held on Thursday is seen as the start of a brighter FOSS life in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The seminar will be held at Veterans Avenue in Zamboanga City where TESDA-ARMM’s Language Skills Institute (LSI) is located.
The event is also supported by the International Open Source Network (IOSN), an organization that promotes the adoption of FOSS in the Asia-Pacific Region.(Yolynne Medina)
