DAVAO CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / July 14, 2008) – Two government soldiers were wounded in a landmine explosion set off by communist rebels in the southern Philippine province of Compostela Valley, officials said Monday.
Officials said the soldiers were patrolling in the village of New Leyte in Maco town when the explosion occurred on Sunday. Police and military blamed the New People’s Army for the attack.
