The flag, weighing more than four tons, was spread over a two-hectare land at the capitol grounds. Grace Gupana, a Filipino who first unfurled the flag alongside with the Israeli flag in Israel last year, said it symbolized peace in Mindanao. Some P40 million were spent to make the giant flag.
