MANILA, Philippines - Philippines police are investigating the death of a New Zealander, whose body was found in his hotel room in Olongapo City, west of Manila, on Monday.

The dead man was Rex Norman Frazer, 61, said Senior Superintendent Avelardo Villacorta, of Olongapo City police.

He said Mr Frazer appeared to be visiting Olongapo as he was actually residing temporarily in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, the Philippine News Agency reported.
