ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 03, 2009) –The Brent Hospital and Colleges Incorporated in collaboration with the St. Luke’s hospital - Sagip Bayan Foundation conducted a surgical mission in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines.
The three-day medical mission ended on Monday. At least 19 doctors and medical professors from St. Luke’s hospital came to Zamboanga to incorporate with the 95th anniversary celebration of the Brent hospital and Colleges.
Dr Raymond Gaspar Sator, one of those who spearheaded the event, said that the surgical mission was primarily to help the needy people in Zamboanga City.
He said at least 25 patients benefited from major operations like hernia, goiter, thyroid and chole and 25 others had minor cases. The mission was their second in Zamboanga City. (Sheri Gay P. Catague)
