ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 04, 2009) – A Muslim man was killed and his daughter wounded after they were shot Wednesday in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines.
Amirin Punjungan was killed instantly after he was shot near their house in Santa Catalina village. Punjungan was with his wife and daughter on a motorcycle when the gunman opened fired on the trio at least five times.
His daughter was rushed to hospital by neighbors. Relatives tagged Punjungan’s own neighbor as behind the killing, saying, the attack was triggered by a family feud.
Police said it is investigating the murder. (Mindanao Examiner)
