KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 17, 2009) – Police arrested a security guard on Tuesday after he sold marijuana to an undercover agent in Kidapawan City in North Cotabato province.
The suspect, Usop Chanda, was arrested at around 6.45 a.m. after police agents led by Benjamin Mauricio Jr., received the marijuana in a sting operation along Alim Street.
Police also seized from Chanda, a native of Maguindanao province, 57 packets of dried marijuana leaves, seeds and the mark money used in the operation.
The arrest came after days of surveillance operation by the police on Chanda’s illegal activities. (Geo Solmerano)
