Troops recover IED in Maguindanao province in Southern Philippines


Members of the Army’s Explosive Disposal Detachment and 46th Infantry Battalion briefly closed a highway in Maguindanao’s Talayan town after two improvised explosives assembled from 81mm mortars and attached to a cell phone were discovered on Monday, May 04, 2009 in the village of Midtimbang. Government troops are pursuing Moro rebels for the string of attacks in Maguindanao, one of five province under the Muslim autonomous region.
