North Cotabato has new police chief

KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / August 6, 2009) – A former intelligence officer was named as new provincial police chief of North Cotabato in the southern Philippines.

Senior Superintendent Norberto Batislaong formally assumed his new post after replacing Superintendent Renato Hiso, who acted as officer-in-charge the past seven months.

North Cotabato province Governor Jesus Sacdalan was the guest speaker during the ceremony held on Tuesday.

Batislaong served as intelligence officer of the Philippine National Police in Mindanao. (Geo Solmerano)
