DAVAO CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / October 2, 2009) - A noted Filipino educator have welcomed researches on biodiversity and environment as faculty members and researchers present their studies on the forthcoming conference in the southern Philippines.
“Researches concerning biodiversity and our environment in Mindanao are all welcomed to the fourth part of our series of research conferences,” said Dr Larry Digal.
Dr Digal, Director of the Commission on Higher Education Zonal Research Center in Region XI — University of the Philippines Mindanao, invited all faculty members and researchers from different higher educational institutions and State universities and colleges in the region to present their studies to the research conference on October 20 in Davao City.
Focusing on “Biodiversity and the Environment”, the series of conferences is jointly organized by CHED ZRC 11—UP Mindanao and Davao Colleges and Universities Network with Southern Philippines Agribusiness, Marine and Aquatic School of Technology and Philippine Council of Aquatic and Marine Research and Development of the Department of Science and Techonolgy as the lead institutions.
“It is an opportunity for researchers to share their new knowledge to the public and inspire other scholarly individuals to conduct their own researches,” Digal said in a statement.
He said all interested researchers should submit their Abstracts to the Office of Research at the CHED ZRC 11 in UP-Mindanao in Tugbok District in Mintal in Davao City. They can also send them through e-mail at research@upmin.edu.ph and the deadline of submission is on October 9, he added.
