DAVAO CITY, Philippines - One of the projects that endeared House Speaker Prospero Nograles to his constituents in Davao City in Mindanao is his Oplan Kalsada Program.

Since being elected as representative in the 1st District of Davao City, Nograles has completed massive infrastructure projects that greatly benefited the residents and business establishments in those areas.

Nograles allocated a big part of his congressional development fund to finance these infrastructure projects through the Department of Public Works and Highways. Nograles has branched out his Oplan Kalsada program by initiating infrastructure projects in the third district.

Numerous road projects, school buildings, open-air and covered courts, and barangay halls among others were constructed in the premier district of the city through the efforts of Nograles.

Soon, through the effort of Nograles, a P100 million sports dome will rise at the University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City.

The air-conditioned sports dome which locals long aspired can now host the Philippine Basketball Association games. It can some 7,000 people. For a long time, the PBA holds its games in Panabo City instead of Davao. The sports dome is set to be finished next year.
