MARAWI CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / June 13, 2010) – The reelected vice governor of Lanao del Sur, Arsad Marohombsar, vowed on Sunday to continue peace and development efforts as he appealed for support to citizens help him make the province one of the most progressive in the Muslim autonomous region.
Lanao del Sur is one of five provinces under the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Arsad defeated six other candidates in the May 10 national and local polls.
He said he would consult his constituents on all his good programs for the province and also vowed to work hand-in-hand with Mamintal Adiong Jr., the governor of Lanao del Sur. (Becky de Asis)
