Silsilah Forum holds orientation in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 8, 2010) - The Silsilah Forum in Pagadian city in Zamboanga del Sur province held a orientation for some 50 faculty members and students as part of a series of an interfaith dialogue in Western Mindanao.

Most of those who attended the orientation were from the Zamboanga del Sur National High School. "This is one of the series of activities that the forum of Pagadian will undertake, with the support of Silsilah Dialogue Movement in Zamboanga City," organizers said.

Three of the SDM staff in Zamboanga were invited to the orientation - Norbert Solina, Aldamir Abdulkahal and Cristina Beltran - to share their dialogue experiences of Muslim-Christian relations, about the Harmony Chain Initiative, and about Silsilah.

The Harmony Chain Initiative is a special interfaith initiative of Silsilah which was initiated in the year 2000 for meditation and prayer for dialogue and peace, from Mindanao to the world. (With a report from Becky de Asis)
