2 killed in Zamboanga road accident
IPIL, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / May 2, 2011) – Two people were killed and over a dozen others injured after a provincial bus flipped on highway in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga Sibugay, police said on Monday.
Police said the bus was heading to Zamboanga City when its driver lost control of the wheel and the bus flipped pinning the two passengers. The mishap occurred in the town called Roseller Lim.
An initial report by the police said the bus, which came from Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province, lost control as it navigated a sharp curve and flipped before hitting the railing of the road.
Those injured were rushed by villagers to hospital in Zamboanga Sibugay. Police said it is investigating the accident. (Mindanao Examiner)
