The Zamboanga City Council is also undertaking preparations for the historical signing of the sisterhood agreement with Dagupan City set to be held at the session hall on Feb. 24 and will coincide with the celebration of the 67th Dia de Zamboanga.
Climaco said the event will be attended by Dagupan City Mayor Benjamin Dy, his Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez and all members of the Dagupan City Council.
A proposed agreement with the city of Zaragoza, Spain is also pending, she said.
These agreements with the different cities, she said, has notably brought investments to Zamboanga and hastened trade, travel and communication. However, she said there is still a need to renew ties with the sister cities in order to strengthen the partnership.
“We hope we can convey our greetings to them so we can be able to promote and continue the sisterhood ties”, Climaco said.
