Kenney Tours Central Luzon

U.S Ambassador to Manila Kristie A. Kenney toured the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Reception and Study Center for Children in Lubao town in Pampanga province during a recent trip to Central Luzon. The center is a regional facility for abandoned, abused, and orphaned children, and boasts on its staff a full-time U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer who assists in teacher training, special needs development, English language training, and outreach programs. During the trip, Kenney also toured the Subic Bay Freeport Zone and Clark Special Economic Zone, where she saw the full range of U.S. business and economic partnerships in the area and visited U.S. firms such as Federal Express and AOL.
