NORTH COTABATO, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / June 9, 2008) – A despondent man killed himself after his wife abandoned him, police said Monday.
Police said relatives discovered the body of Alfredo Bugas on Sunday hanging from a bean inside his house. Bugas used a wire to hang himself.
Relatives said Bugas’ wife abandoned him after they argued and quarreled over their relationship. The woman was said to have transferred to Manila where she is currently working.
It was unknown whether the wife had been informed about her husband. Police did not say if the couple had children. (Romy Bwaga)
