ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Mar. 26, 2011) – The southern Filipino city of Zamboanga switched off its lights late Saturday as it joined the global campaign dubbed as “Earth Hour” to save energy.
The local Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative turned off power for half an hour at 8:30 p.m., but many private homes opted to stay without electricity for one hour to comply with the campaign.
