"COTABATO HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM NEARING IMPLEMENTATION"
NORTH COTABATO (Olga Zambrano / 20 Jun) A public hearing has been set by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of North Cotabato for the proposed Cotabato Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
A brainchild of Governor Emmanuel F. Piñol, the CHIP aims to provide and implement an applicable health benefit package to poor constituents of the province.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Health, composed of Hon. Shirlyn Macasarte-Espuelas as Chairperson and Board Members Jose Tejada and Eliseo Garcesa Jr. as members, has already prepared a Manual of Operations with the assistance of the Task Working Group.
The public hearing has been set on June 28 at 9 a.m. at the Capitol hall.
Invited to attend the public hearing are chiefs of private and public hospitals, municipal health and local government operations officers, municipal budget officers and accountants, Commision on Audit field officers, representatives from non-government organizations, members of the media, and provincial officals.
