DAVAO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 14 Mar) – Philippine police detained two brothers who were trying to sneak ten boxes of pirated movie DVDs in Davao City.
The two had been arrested on Tuesday after policemen stopped their cab for inspection while trying to get out of the Davao airport.
Superintendent Vicente Danao, head of the regional mobile police force, said most of the DVDs were pornographic movies worth some six hundred thousand pesos in the black market.
It was not immediately known where the duo bought the DVDs, but many pirated movie DVDs illegally sold here come from China and Malaysia and find their way to as far as Manila. (Romy Bwaga)
