GENERAL SANTOS CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 18 Mar) – A man, despondent over a woman who abandoned him, drank a pesticide and tried to kill himself, but survived only to suffer in agony at hospital in the southern Philippines.
The 21-year old Arnel Armenta is fighting for his life and doctors are trying to save him after his family told the police that the man was troubled after his girlfriend broke up with him at the weekend.
Nita Armenta said he son could not take that his girl split with him. She did not the reason why the girl left her son. It was unknown whether the girl knew about the suicide attempt. (Romy Bwaga)
