CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (Al Jacinto / Dec. 10, 2007) – A British missionary who went missing in southern Philippines was found dead, reports said Sunday.
The body of David Brass, who worked for the Baptist Church, was found on Saturday in the farming village of Tagabua in San Francisco town in Agusan del Sur province.
Police said Brass’ Filipino wife, Annalyn, reported his disappearance two weeks ago after he failed to return home in Butuan City from a trip to Bukidnon province.
Brass was apparently murdered, according to police reports, but it was unclear how he was killed.
Other reports said police is investigating Brass’ wife. It was not immediately known whether the woman has anything to do with Brass disappearance or murder.
Authorities had mounted a search for Brass after Filipino media reported his disappearance. Police and military initially thought Brass was kidnapped while traveling in Bukidnon province. (Mindanao Examiner)
