Davao residents assured of infra projects, humanitarian programs

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – House Speaker Prospero Nograles assured residents in Davao City of his continued support to various humanitarian and development programs, particularly in the 1st Congressional District where he belongs.

Nograles’s son and chief of staff, lawyer Karlo Nograles, said the programs are part of the solon’s commitment to bring aid development to mostly poor villages. Just recently, the lawyer visited the Matina Pangi village and spoke with residents and their leaders about the solon’s upcoming programs.

Nograles has been largely credited for his many infrastructure projects in Matina Pangi and among them were the repair and rehabilitation of a local school, construction of covered courts, distribution of free school supplies to students.

And also scholarship grants to college students, technical and vocational courses for the out-of-school youth, medical assistance through the solon’s Congressional Medical Assistance Program and loan assistance program.

Residents hailed the father and son tandem and pledged to support their future endeavors in Davao City.
