MARAWI CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Aug. 17, 2010) – Police arrested two persons wanted on criminal charges in separate operations in Lanao del Sur province in the southern Philippines.
Police identified the suspects as Arnulfo Alison, who was arrested Monday in the town of Wao and Madid Mangacop, who is facing murder and drug charges.
Police Superintendent Cosanie Derogongan, the provincial police chief, said operations against wanted persons in Lanao are going.
“There is no other war for these criminals to escape the long arm of the law, but to surrender peacefully,” he said. (Becky de Asis and Apipa Bagumbaran)
