Zamboanga High School Principal's Doctoral Dissertation Ok’d


Dr. Lutchi Castelo-Rimando, principal of the Culianan National High School in Zamboanga City.


ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 2, 2010) – A local high school principal Lutchi Castelo-Rimando successfully defended her dissertation in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Education during a recent examination in Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao.

Rimando’s research study was entitled “Teachers Personality and Students’ Performance of Secondary Schools of Zamboanga City Division.”

Her panel of examiners was chaired by Dr Edgar Balbuena, president of the Dapitan City–based Jose Rizal Memorial State University with Dr. Wilfredo Carreon, Jr., Dr. Erlinda Magallanes and Dr. Zenaida Gersanda, of the Commission on Higher Education, as members.

Dr. Heidi Panique served as Rimando’s adviser while her husband, Dr. Antonio Rimando, former Zamboanga City Schools division superintendent, acted as her statistician.

The Culianan National High School principal completed her ED. D. academic requirements at the then Zamboanga City AE College, now Universidad de Zamboanga Graduate School then under Dean Dr. Anicia Alvarez. (Esperanza Lazo)
