MARAWI CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / May 17, 2011) – Surviving members of the Moro National Liberation Front’s Top 90 have passed a resolution throwing their support to President Benigno Aquino’s reform program in the Muslim autonomous region in Mindanao.

The manifesto was signed by surviving members of the Lam Alif Fraternity.

It said: “Whereas, we the genuine frontier and hardcore representatives of the Bangsamoro struggle from the very beginning are strongly concerned and committed to the peace and development of our homeland; the group said the present administration expressed its full support to reform the government of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao as condition sine qua non for the overall desire to reform the country, as a whole.”

The manifesto said there is a need to search and nominate for a new leadership that is more competent and can deliver and implement a truly reform-oriented program of the government, and at the same time, guided with sincerity and transparency including full dedication to serve as a government public servant of the people.

It was signed by Datu Somerado "Nerah" Pimping, convenor and acting chairman of the Committee on the Preservation of the MNLF Top-90 Brotherhood and Engr. Pacasirang Mamao, the fraternity’s Grand Amir.

The manifesto was handed to Aquino’s peace adviser Teresita Deles and her Assistant Secretary Bai Sittie Jehanne Mapupuno. (Asa Madale)
