Army Holds Bomb Detection Training In Mindanao

MAGUINDANAO PROVINCE (Mark Navales / 18 Aug) The Philippine Army on Friday began a series of training on bomb detection as part of a security program aimed at enhancing the capabilities of soldiers in the Mindanao.

The training coincided with heightened security in the southern region where security forces are pursuing members of the Abu Sayyaf group and Jemaah Islamiya terror network.

1st Lt. Cheery Flores Tuabas and members of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the Light Armor Brigade headed by Lt. Col. Jorge B. Lomboy III held bomb detection training in Maguindanao.
The training is also being held in other areas in
Mindanao, including Basilan and Jolo islands.
