ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / 04 Nov) - An ambulance carrying four passengers collided with a cargo truck in the outskirts of Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, killing one person, police said on Saturday.
Police said the ambulance driver, Danilo Camolio, was killed instantly and that his passengers were injured in the accident Friday in the village of Manicahan, east of Zamboanga.
Witnesses said the ambulance overtook a mini-jeep and collided head-on with the truck on the opposite side of the road.
Police said the ambulance came from the town of Alicia in Zamboanga del Sur and was transporting patients to the Zamboanga Medical Center here when the accident occured. (Mindanao Examiner)
