COTABATO CITY, Philippines (Mindanao Examiner / June 3, 2008) – At least five people were reported killed and over a dozen others injured after a truck fell into a ravine on a village in North Cotabato province in Mindanao island, south of the Philippines.
Police said the driver of the truck apparently lost control of the wheel after its break failed and rammed a motorcycle taxi in the town of President Roxas.

Conflicting police reports claimed as many as five people were killed in the accident on Monday afternoon.
It was unknown whether the driver was killed or not and if there were children among the dead and injured. Most of the victims were hitch riders, according to the police.
